At Climax Change, radical transparency isn't just a value we put on our website; it's a promise we intend to keep. That's why we're making a documentary series: to take you behind the brand, beyond the product, and directly into the places and people your purchases are making possible.
We want you to see exactly who we are, where our products come from, the fair trade
plantations, our choice of packaging, and where every cent of profit lands after you check out.
Just the real stories about us and our partners, about the coral reefs on the brink of
disappearing, the remote communities in Panama without access to basic healthcare, and the dry lands in Africa. This is a documentary series about what it looks like when a business genuinely means what it says, and what becomes possible when pleasure and purpose are pointed in the same direction.

How one man left the oil and gas industry to protect the oceans.
For eight years, Maarten van der Kuijl built a successful electrical engineering company in the Netherlands, working on major projects for some of the world's largest oil and gas companies. His career took him across continents and into different environments. But it was during these travels that he witnessed something that would completely change the course of his life.
Beneath the surface of tropical waters, he saw coral reefs in distress. Vibrant underwater ecosystems that had once teemed with life were turning pale, dying, and disappearing. In different parts of the world, the story was always the same: climate change was devastating coral reefs and threatening the millions of people who depend on them for food, livelihoods, and coastal protection.
For Maarten, these experiences became impossible to ignore.
Rather than looking away, he began asking questions. Could reefs become more resilient? Was there a way to restore and protect them more effectively? Together with universities, scientists, and marine experts, he started exploring innovative methods that could offer real hope for the future of coral reefs.
The answers he found would demand an extraordinary sacrifice.
Maarten made the life-changing decision to sell his engineering company and dedicate himself entirely to environmental restoration. But he wanted to do things differently. He saw how many foundations spend enormous amounts of time and energy applying for grants and donations. What if a business could generate its own impact? What if profit itself became the engine for change?
That question became the foundation of Climax Change.
Built on the belief that pleasure and purpose can go hand in hand, Climax Change operates on a simple but radical model: 100% of its profits are donated to carefully selected charities and environmental initiatives, including coral reef restoration, Justdiggit, and Floating Doctors.
From Black to Blue is the story of a remarkable transformation, from an engineer serving the fossil fuel industry to an entrepreneur investing everything he has into protecting our planet's blue heart. It is a story about courage, reinvention, and the conviction that every intimate moment can contribute to real, measurable change.
This is where Climax Change began.
